Kohler Bathtub
An interesting bathroom remodel – this design took advantage of a large bathroom to create a hallway with a Kohler bathtub. This creates a comfortable look but allows the bather a tremendous amount of privacy.

Walk-in Bathtub

Walk-in Bathtub
This is an example of a good walk-in bathtub design. Notice the inward swinging door. Walk-in tubs with outward swinging doors almost always end up leaking. The ones that are leak-proof tend to be nearly impossible to latch/unlatch, especially for a senior citizen or disabled person, who these tubs are designed for.
This tub also includes air jets (the smaller jets) and water jets (larger jets). All of the jets are designed to massage the bathers back. It is important that a walk-in tub fills and drains rapidly, because the user will be in the tub during these processes.
If you have difficulty bathing, or have a disabled or elderly relative who you are responsible for, consider a walk-in bathtub. It is a rarely household fixture that truly increases quality of life.
